- What kind of places are the Ocha Culture Creation Museum and the Oi Ocha Museum?

The Ocha Culture Creation Museum showcases the history and art of tea drinking and the evolution of tea culture. - How much is the entrance fee?

Adults ¥500, Students ¥300 yen, Free for visitors over 70 years old and high school students and younger.
Free for the person with a disability certificate and one accompanying helper without disabilities.
- When did the museums open?

Opened on May 1, 2024 (on Hachiju Hachiya, the eighty-eighth day from the beginning of spring on the Japanese calendar).
- What are the opening and closing hours of the museums?

The museums are open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The museums are closed on Mondays, but if Monday is a national holiday, they will be closed on the following Tuesday.
- How long does it take to tour the museums?

Touring the Ocha Culture Creation Museum takes about 20 minutes. Touring the Oi Ocha Museum takes about 10 minutes. However, the time required to enjoy the hands-on displays in each area will vary depending on the level of congestion.
- Are there tour guides at the museums?

The inside of the museum is set for self-guided tours. There are no dedicated tour guides available.

Complimentary lockers are provided near the reception desk. However, the lockers cannot fit large items such as strollers and suitcases.

Wheelchairs are provided for use within the museums. Please request a wheelchair at the reception desk.

Photography is allowed except in some areas. In cases such as special exhibitions and other areas where photography is prohibited, “No Photography” signs will be posted.

Use your smartphone to scan the QR codes attached to exhibits and view explanations in other languages.
- Is eating and drinking allowed inside the museums?
